Before doing a nail design using French manicure strips, you need to prepare the skin of the hands. You also need to shape the nail. There are various shapes - soft square, square, almond, oval - they are all elegant, you just need to choose the one that suits you.
Then even out the edges of the nail and carefully remove any dust. Before applying gel polish, the main thing to pay attention to is removing the cuticle from the nail plate using an orange stick or cuticle remover.
The top keratin layer should be removed from the nail plate; a coarse-grit buffer can help you with this.
After that, apply primer for strong adhesion between the base and the nail. Wait about 1 minute for the primer to dry. Next, apply the base coat. The base evens out the nail surface, hides its imperfections, and ensures even application of the gel polish. The base gel is applied in a thin layer over the entire width of the nail plate. Then cure the nail under the lamp.
Paint the nails with French manicure polish. After applying gel polish, cure the nails under a UV lamp for 2 minutes.
Stick the stencil strips onto each nail so that only the grown-out white edge remains free. The stencils must be firmly attached to the nails, otherwise polish will get underneath them.
Apply white polish to the tips of the nails. Let it dry completely, then carefully remove the strips.
Then apply top coat over the nails. The top coat is needed to seal in the gel polish and add shine. Also, don't forget to cure the top coat under the lamp for 2 minutes. After finishing the manicure, don't forget to remove the tacky layer with a special liquid.
Tip! If the main part of the nail will be covered with a bright color and you don't want it to show through the white layer, it's better to paint the tips first and then the rest of the nail.
