It is a firm mass of white or milky-white color, odorless. It is extracted from the pulp of the seeds of the fruit of the tropical wild-growing tree of the same name.
Shea butter contains unsaponifiable fats (about 17%) and triglycerides (about 80%) - oleic (40-55%), stearic (35-45%), linoleic (3-8%), palmitic (up to 3%) acids.
Refined oil has undergone several additional stages of technological purification. Its beneficial properties are preserved.
